Is Loftus-Cheek going to play?

Our midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek who’s on loan at Crystal Palace recently played for England against Germany in the 0-0 draw and had a fantastic debut. How good is Loftus-Cheek then? Is it still too early to say the 21-year-old has now made it at the top-level? Of course it is but he’s on the right path and if he continues the good work that he’s done at Selhurst Park so far then he has every opportunity to go all the way. Maybe even to the World Cup next year in Russia to start with?

Supporters were initially surprised with his inclusion but Southgate admitted he’s seen the progress of this young man since his days as manager of the Under-21’s.

“He’s way stronger now than he was a year, two years ago,” said Southgate. “At that time it was very difficult for him to finish 90 minutes. On Friday he did that comfortably and looked strong at the end.”

Importantly for us at Chelsea is the question of whether he’ll ever play for us again in the future. After Matic left we brought in both Danny Drinkwater from Leicester and Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco and allowed Loftus-Cheek to go out on loan. Was that the right decision? I’d still say so at the moment but if the lads continues to impress then it makes every sense to bring him back to us to play regularly once his loan spell is over.

Onto our predictions for all of our games you can see below how the three of us are doing up to the end of October. I’m still not doing too great but Alexis is now opening up a little gap now that he has two correct scores compared to our one.
