Well, that is what all the television, paper and radio media seem to want us to believe. Do you think Conte will quit Chelsea? I honestly can’t see it myself and not just because of the money and contract he recently signed. I know some of the issues seem public, but considering I have no inside knowledge or connections to the inside I just have to come to my own opinion. That being that he will not quit our club anytime soon, why would he? Yes there are rumours and issues with our transfer policy apparently, but Abramovich has always dug deep in the past and will do again. Won’t he?
Well we all know that if Roman doesn’t want a player himself, but the manager does then that has caused frictions in the past. Which of course has led to him sacking managers before now. Sack Conte though, really? Well that wouldn’t surprise me eventually, but for now we as a club have to stop doing this in my opinion as it would be so fantastic to have a manager that is still here five or six years down the line. That might not be Conte though of course, we’ll just have to wait and see but for now I think he’ll be here until the end of the season. Despite our wobbly start.
Anyway, onto the football and our Chelsea score predictions for this season. I’ve been away myself on holiday so wasn’t able to update you on here. Therefore we’re starting them this weekend and just like last season it will be myself Oliver and my two friends Alexis and George doing them. Like last season too when I won by just one point we’ll be doing it based on the Sky Sports Super 6 game points system and update you each month. Let’s have a good season Chelsea! Come on!
Community Shield – Sun 06 Aug 2017 14:00 Wembley

Victor Moses (46)
Attendance: 83,325 & Referee: Robert Madley
PENALTY SHOOTOUT – ARSENAL 4 – CHELSEA 1
Walcott, Monreal, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud
Arsenal played well again at Wembley surprisingly and we were very slow to get started and looked a bit rusty. The draw was probably a fair result after 90 minutes but it was a huge surprise to me that Morata didn’t start. As for the penalties, the least the said the better.
League – Sat 12 Aug 2017 15:00 Stamford Bridge
CHELSEA 2 – BURNLEY 3
Morata (69) Luiz (88)
Vokes (24), Ward (39), Vokes (43)
Attendance: 41,616 & Referee: Craig Pawson
Ouch!! The performance and result hurt. The only positive I can bring from that opening day Premier League start is that it’s a kick up our backside to what may be ahead for us this season. Of course it’s going to be tougher than last year, but that was always going to be the case. I’m confident Conte will handle despite all the speculation around him.
League – Sun 20 Aug 2017 16:00 Wembley
SPURS 1 – CHELSEA 2 – SKY Sports
Batshuayi og (82)
Alonso (24), Alonso (88)
Attendance: 73,587 & Referee: Anthony Taylor
Get in, winning games late on is always great, even more so when the team you’re playing have just got back into the game themselves and think they can now win it. When that team is Spurs it is absolutely brilliant. Love beating them!
League – Sun 27 Aug 2017 13:30 Stamford Bridge CHELSEA 2 – EVERTON 0 Fàbregas (27), Morata (40)
Attendance: 41,382 & Referee: Jonathan Moss
Oliver – Chelsea 2 Everton 0 = 5 points
Alexis – Chelsea 1 Everton 0 = 2 points
George – Chelsea 2 Everton 1 = 2 points
I thought I’d heard of most stats but some that come up still do surprise me, particular the one yesterday that came out. In that Alvaro Morata is now the first player in Premier League history to get an assist as well as score in his first two home games for a club. What a great goal it was too, fantastic whipped cross from Azpilicueta who found Morata who headed home to make it 2-0 after Cesc had already given us the lead. A great performance and back close to where we were at last season at home.
